一個感恩的臺灣人　為美國祈禱

【李重德／專欄報導2020/10/22】　函轉交給美國第45任總統川普先生，美國第45任總統川普先生閣下：我是一個在台灣的高雄市中小型企業協會的領導人，我的名字是李重德。

這是我迄今寫給  閣下的第二封信，上一封信是在2016年11月10日，也就是您在總統大選勝出後的翌日，那一封信的主題是《臺灣一直以來都是美國最可信賴的兄弟》，那是一封恭喜閣下當選的信，也是身為美國之友的我對於一位即將成為偉大的美國總統而提出自己對  閣下的一些期許。

這四年來，閣下的表現遠遠超出我當時對  閣下的期待甚多，因為您不只實踐了“讓美國再度偉大”的諾言，您更是完成了許多過去美國總統所不敢去做或是做不成功的事情，這些事情中最重要的是閣下重振了美國的立國精神，而且閣下也重整與糾正了國際間過去積非成是的價值判斷。

至少，我看到了閣下在很短的時間推動美國的經濟快速的成長，不只振興了工業，也帶動了金融業、服務業、生醫業、能源業、農業…等等。

而且，我也看到了閣下對於不利於美國的所有涉外協定都進行了重新議定的談判，讓美國的未來不會因為過去的一連串錯誤而身陷在泥沼之中。

因此，我也看到了閣下用無比的毅力與決心來抵抗其他國家出於繼續侵占美國權益目的而不斷對美國以及對您的無情指摘的整個過程，真的是值得全世界各國的領袖來向您學習。

此外，我也看到了閣下對於其他國家或是其他政權所做的不公正與不善良的事情，從來都是不假辭色地直接批評。閣下甚至不惜捨棄了與該國家或是該政權的領導人之間的私人情誼，也會放手讓閣下的部屬秉持著“主持正義”與“對抗邪惡”的原則而採取許多包含軍事行動在內的作為“世界警察”的所有勤務。

閣下的這一個大格局的做事情的方式已經讓美國人民因為能夠重新擁抱立國精神而驕傲，也讓世界各國再度的肯定美國無可取代的地位。當然，我也看到了閣下在對國家的財經政策與社會福利政策與您的競選對手是完全不同的，由於我不是美國公民，因此我不敢妄議哪一邊的政策是對的或是錯的。

但是任何人都知道「殺雞取卵」之後就再也吃不到雞蛋了，因此我相信您的減稅政策將足以產生吸引許多企業來到美國投資的誘因，也因此必然會創造出更多的就業機會。

因此我認同您所主張的政策，也就是美國政府只要給予投資與工作的誘因，就能夠讓每一個人民都活得很好。因此美國政府不必須要去強徵高額的稅款來做不必要的財富重分配。

而且一旦美國有了更多的產出，必然也會為美國財政帶來更多的稅收，也就能讓美國政府創造出更多的社會福利，這就是所謂的「以右支左」政策，也就是最安穩的“用兩隻腳走路”的政策。

因此我相信美國若繼續在閣下的卓越領導之下，則美國人民的未來將可以享用到無窮的“金雞蛋”。

當然，我也看到了美國目前正面對著COVID-19疫情的重大災難，但是在閣下的正確果斷的處置，我發現COVID-19病毒在美國的傳播速度已經變緩了，而且很可能在不久的未來，美國將會領先全球而研發出對於COVID-19真正有效的疫苗與治療方法。

而且，在過去十個月期間，美國整個社會沒有因為這個瘟疫而癱瘓，全體產業也沒有發生連鎖性破產的情況，因此，我認為閣下在對抗COVID-19的這一場戰役之中，其實表現得比任何國家的領袖都更好。

臺灣在對抗COVID-19的戰爭中能夠成功，是因為我們一開始即判定WHO對於COVID-19的疫情真相是有所隱瞞，而且我們也擔心中共政權沒有能力阻止COVID-19向全世界傳播，因而臺灣政府採取超前佈署的政策。

然而，美國在閣下的睿智領導之下，其實才是全世界率先禁止中國旅客飛來美國的國家，只可惜COVID-19還是繞道其他國家而最後終於來到了美國。

但是，我也看到了閣下並沒有讓全國經濟活動、學校教育以及行政公務因此瘟疫而全面停擺，因為大家都知道“餓死比病死更悲慘”的道理。

而且閣下為了推動讓“美國正常運作”，最後甚至連自己都感染了COVID-19，並且還在醫院住院中繼續辦公，誠然讓大家相當感動。

但是顯然閣下真的是「天選之人」，連上帝都幫助您在數天之內就恢復了健康。而在我看來，閣下身體力行，為民先鋒，不憚危難的表現，真的是過去美國牛仔在大西部開疆闢土時的大無畏精神之再次的表現。

當然，我更看到了閣下在道德領域方面的崇高表現，因為我知道閣下敢於對付中共政權，閣下一定沒有任何把柄在對方的手上。

也就是說閣下與家人一定曾拒絕過中共政權對閣下家族的許多重大利誘，這可以證明  閣下人格的偉大，以及  閣下家庭教育的成功，因此，閣下就是我所認知的「真君子」！

最後，我想要對您這一位“真君子”做一個請求，那就是既然中共政權讓COVID-19傳播到全世界，因此我也認同中共政權必須接受懲罰以及賠償各國受害者。

但是基於我與臺灣海峽對岸的人民是同胞的關係，我期盼閣下能體察出中國大陸的人民大多也是無辜的受害者，如果美國有任何的懲罰中共政權的行動，我想請求您充分考慮到如何減少對中國人民的衝擊。

而且如果美國與中共政權真的無法避免軍事衝突時，除非基於保護臺灣安全的這一個因素之外，我懇請您讓所有的軍事衝突都儘可能的遠離臺灣。

因為臺灣不只人口密度是全世界第二高，也是未來“讓美國持續偉大”的最主要“矽力量”的來源。最後，作為一個感恩的臺灣人，我除了要為幫助臺灣最多的美國祈禱之外，更要祈禱  閣下能夠在下個月初的總統大選中勝出。因為閣下不只是為自己的理想而戰，也是為全世界的安危而戰，更是為美國的立國精神而戰，以及為重整世界正確價值觀而戰。因此，這個世界不能沒有您。

最後，我要聲明我在寫此封信時並沒有因為任何人或任何機關之請託或暗示而寫，而是我在昨日與我所信仰的神佛溝通之後所而一起決定的。而且神佛還特別諭示本封信可以讓  閣下公開給世人知悉，我在此一併轉知。

Subject：A grateful Taiwanese prays for America

Your excellency Donald J. Trump, the 45th president of the United States,

I am a leader of the Kaohsiung Small and Medium Enterprise Association in Taiwan, and my name is Lee, Chung-Te.

This is the second letter I have written to Your Excellency so far.   The last letter was on November 10, 2016, the day after your victory in the presidential election.     The subject of that letter was “Taiwan has always been America’s Most Reliable Brother” is a letter of congratulations on your election.     As a friend of the United States, I also put forward my expectations of you who is about to become a great American president.

In the past four years, Your Excellency’s performance has far exceeded what I expected of Your Excellency at that time, because you have not only fulfilled your promise of “making America great again”, you have also accomplished many things that many previous U.S. presidents dared not do or do something unsuccessful.  The most important of these things is that Your Excellency has revived the spirit of the United States, and you have also reorganized and corrected the international value judgments that have not been successful in the past.

At least, I have seen that Your Excellency has promoted the rapid economic growth of the United States in a short period of time.   It not only revitalized the industry, but also promoted the financial industry, service industry, biomedical industry, energy industry, agriculture… and so on.

Moreover, I have also seen that you have conducted renegotiated negotiations on all foreign-related agreements that are not conducive to the United States, so that the future of the United States will not be caught in the quagmire because of a series of past mistakes.

Therefore, I have also seen your incomparable perseverance and determination to resist the relentless accusations against the United States and you by other countries for the purpose of continuing to invade the rights and interests of the United States. It is really worthy of leaders from all over the world to learn from you.

In addition, I have also seen that Your Excellency always direct attacks and  criticizes the unjust and unkind things done by other countries or other regimes without any modification.

You even abandon your personal friendship with the leaders of the country or the regime, and will let your subordinates uphold the principles of “justice” and “fight against evil” and take all duties as the “World Police”, including military actions.

Your Excellency’s way of doing things in this large format has made the American people proud of being able to embrace the spirit of nationhood again, and it has also allowed countries around the world to reaffirm the irreplaceable status of the United States.

Of course, I have also seen that your country’s financial policies and social welfare policies are completely different from your rivals. Since I am not a US citizen, I dare not arrogantly argue which side of the policy is right or wrong.

But anyone knows that after “killing the chickens for getting the eggs”, they will never eat eggs.     Therefore, I believe your tax reduction policy will be enough to generate incentives to attract many companies to invest in the United States, and therefore will inevitably create more job opportunities.

Therefore, I agree with the policy you advocate, that is, as long as the U.S. government provides incentives for investment and work, it can make every people live well.   Therefore, the US government does not have to impose high taxes to do unnecessary redistribution of wealth.

Moreover, once the United States has more output, it will inevitably bring more taxes to the U.S. finances, which will also allow the U.S. government to create more social welfare.    This is the so-called “right can support the left” policy. This is the most stable “walking on two feet” policy.

Therefore, I believe that if the United States continues to be under your outstanding leadership, the American people will be able to enjoy infinite “golden eggs” in the future.

Of course, I have also seen that the United States is currently facing a major disaster of the COVID-19 epidemic, but with your correct and decisive handling, I found that the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the United States has slowed down, and it is likely to be in the near future the United States will lead the world and develop vaccines and treatments that are truly effective against COVID-19.

Moreover, during the past ten months, the entire American society has not been paralyzed by this plague, and the entire industry has not experienced chain bankruptcy.    Therefore, I think you have actually acted in this battle against COVID-19 better than the leader of any country.

Taiwan was able to succeed in the war against COVID-19 because we determined from the beginning that the WHO had concealed the truth about the COVID-19 epidemic, and we were also worried that the CCP regime was unable to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to the world.    Therefore, the Taiwanese government adopted a policy of advanced deployment.

However, under your wise leadership, the United States is actually the first country in the world to ban Chinese tourists from flying to the United States. Unfortunately, COVID-19 still bypassed other countries and finally came to the United States.

However, I have also seen that Your Excellency did not stop the country’s economic activities, school education, and administrative affairs as a result of the plague, because everyone knows that “starving to death is more tragic than disease”.

Moreover, in order to promote “the normal operation of the United States,” you even got infected with COVID-19 in the end and continued to work in the hospital, which certainly moved everyone.

But obviously you are really the “chosen one”, even God helped you to recover within a few days.

In my opinion, your performance of being a pioneer for the people and not worrying about danger is really the performance of the fearless spirit of the American cowboys in the past when they pioneered the Great West.

Of course, I have also seen your lofty performance in the field of morality, because I know that you dare to deal with the CCP regime, you must not have any handles in the opponent’s hands.

In other words, you and your family must have rejected many of the great temptations of the CCP regime to your family.    This can prove the greatness of your personality and the success of your family education.    Therefore, you are the “true gentleman” I know!

Finally, I would like to make a request to you as a “true gentleman”, that is, since the CCP regime has allowed COVID-19 to spread to the world, I also agree that the CCP regime must accept punishment and compensate victims from all countries.

However, based on the relationship between me and the people on the other side of the Taiwan Strait as compatriots, I hope you can realize that most people in Mainland China are also innocent victims.   If the United States takes any action to punish the CCP regime, I would like to ask you to fully consider it.    How to reduce the impact on the Chinese people.

And if the U.S. and the CCP regime really cannot avoid military conflicts, unless it is based on the factor of protecting Taiwan’s security, I implore you to keep all military conflicts as far away from Taiwan as possible.

Because Taiwan not only has the second highest population density in the world, it is also the most important source of “silicon power” that will “make America great” in the future.

Finally, as a grateful Taiwanese, in addition to praying for the United States, which helps Taiwan the most, I also want to pray for Your Excellency to win the presidential election early next month.

Because you are not only fighting for your own ideals, but also for the safety of the whole world, you are also fighting for the spirit of the United States as a nation, and for reorganizing the world’s correct values.     Therefore, this world cannot live without you.

Finally, I want to declare that when I wrote this letter, I did not write it because of any entrustment or suggestion from anyone or any organization, but I made the decision together after communicating with the gods and Buddhas I believe in yesterday.        Moreover, the gods and Buddhas also specifically reminded that this letter can be made publicly known to the world by Your Excellency, and I will tell you here.
