世界客博會開幕 楊文科邀鄉親賞竹縣「信念匯聚之塔」

The 2023 World Hakka Expo opened on August 11. Hsinchu County Mayor Yang Wenke was invited to attend the ceremony. After the meeting, he went to the “Taiwan Pavilion” to visit the Hakka elements, culture and traditional inheritance displayed in the Hsinchu County exhibition area “The Place of Convergence of Faith”. The folks were invited to enter the venue during the exhibition period to appreciate the “Tower of Convergence of Faith” in the Hsinchu County exhibition area, which symbolizes being rooted in the land and being positive.
Yang Wenke, Vice President of the Executive Yuan Zheng Wencan, Hakka Committee Chairman Yang Changzhen, Vice Chairman Zhou Jiangjie, Taipei Mayor Jiang Wanan, Taoyuan Mayor Zhang Shanzheng, Hsinchu Mayor Gao Hongan, Hualien County Mayor Xu Zhenwei, Miaoli County Deputy County Mayor Deng Guiju and other county and city heads attended the opening ceremony and participated in the launching ceremony.
After the ceremony, Yang Wenke, together with the head of the County Government Team Bureau, walked to the Hsinchu County exhibition area “Faith Convergence” in the Taiwan Pavilion, one of the exhibition halls, to visit the exhibited Hakka folk songs, Hakka square mouth lions, Hakka folk activities, Hakka elements and culture such as the spirit of the Hakka righteous people, the belief of the kings of the three mountains, and the Hakka dialect of Hailuqiang.
In the Hsinchu County exhibition area, the towering “Tower of Convergence of Faith” is built with southern pine, which symbolizes the Hakka culture, beliefs, and skills rooted in the land. Hakka culture, Yang Wenke also walked into the pagoda, picked up the wooden signs engraved with Hakka proverbs placed on the ground, read them one by one to the visitors and the public, and explained the meaning of the proverbs, which won warm applause from the audience.
Yang Wenke said that the Tower of Convergence of Beliefs connects the Hakka people’s emphasis on the land, beliefs, and blood. Through the preservation of Hakka culture and memory, the handed down products and beliefs are gathered here, so you can see the King of Three Mountains in the exhibition hall. Temple, which is unique to the Hakka people. As long as there are Sanshan King Temples in Taiwan, there must be Hakka people. Therefore, it is very interesting to visit the Hsinchu County exhibition area. You can see the unique Hakka lions, folk songs, etc., and you can also see the 10-meter-high Faith Gathering Tower to understand the beliefs of the Hakka people.
Yang Wenke said that the Hakka people also attach great importance to education, adhering to the “Sunny Farming and Rainy Reading”. There are many Hakka writers in Tao, Zhu, and Miao, such as Zhong Zhaozheng, Wu Zhuoliu, Long Yingzong, Deng Yuxian, etc. Hakka people are also present in Taiwan. Have excellent academic performance and work very hard. In addition, the most important beliefs of the Hakka people are the Sanshan King and Yimin Temple, which emphasize the spirit of loyalty, that is, the Hakka people are very united, hardworking, and friendly. Everyone is united and works hard for the country and society. This is the belief of the Hakka people.
Yang Wenke also mentioned that the Hakka Expo will hold a Hakka forum on September 24, and Hakka friends from more than 20 countries around the world will visit Hsinchu County. At that time, they will arrange to visit Jin Guangfu and Jiang A Xinyang Building in Beipu Township and Xinwa House in Zhubei City Appreciate Hakka settlements and appreciate the beauty of Hakka. Folks are also welcome to visit during the 66-day exhibition period of the World Hakka Expo.
